Has been living in Montreal for the past 15 years, embracing the rich cultural tapestry of the city. A Punjabi by nature who loves both tandoori chicken and kosha mangsho, with a life beautifully intertwined with Bengali traditions, thanks to his better half. With over 25 years of experience in the broadcast industry, excels as a Creative Service Manager, delivering innovative solutions and managing diverse teams to achieve creative excellence.

A neuroscientist by training, currently working as a Scientist in drug development. Passionate about music and cooking. An IBAM old-timer and active community worker, looking forward to serving the diaspora as part of a team of talented and dedicated individuals.

Abhishek Choudhury

Moved to Montreal from Atlanta, GA in 2022 with his better half, Nairita. A cybersecurity professional by day, metalhead by nature, and a loyal (long-suffering) Arsenal fan. Deeply values IBAM’s close-knit community for keeping roots, language, and traditions alive. Joining this year’s executive committee with a simple yet meaningful desire to contribute and give back.

Born and raised in scenic Guwahati, Northeast India, transitioned from Hotel Management to IT delivery. Passionate about community service since 9th grade. Moved to Canada in 2019 and actively contributes to IBAM, blending culture, service, and technology in the journey.

Full time biotechnologist and part-time concert photographer, passionate about good lens, good books and coffee. Moved to Canada in 2014 as a post-doctoral fellow in McGill university. Involved in IBAM since that very year. IBAM is a “Home away from Home”​

I am a molecular microbiologist and geneticist currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Université de Montréal. Originally from Kolkata and now based in Montréal, I am passionate about science, community, and culture. I enjoy cooking and exploring new places around the city and beyond.​
